On demand ETL and Reports

Hello All,
I know there are lot of saas blogs out there but couldn't find one that shares best practices on how to build multi-tenancy model ETL and reports. So here it is....
The information we share in this forum can be specific to a tool such as Kettle, ODI, Jasper etc., but let us keep this forum as technical as possible.
Have fun,
Rams.

Have anyone used Kettle in a multi-tenancy environment to load a dimensional model? How did you handle the situation that Tenant1 could be sending 2 files that represents Customer data whereas Tenant 2 might send 4 files? Did you store any ETL metadata table to store that information?
